What We Believe

12.3.HOME .CC.ScriptureInspired 300x200 1

The Bible

We believe that:

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

(II Timothy 3:15, 16; I Peter 2:2)

God

The One true God has revealed himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, i.e., Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Salvation Though Jesus Christ

The grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ alone; the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by faith in Jesus Christ and eternal life.

(Romans 10:11-13)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Person of the Holy Spirit to be One that indwells and seals a person when they receive Christ as personal Savior. The believer is encouraged to walk in cadence with the Spirit who guides, teaches, convicts us of sin and interprets our prayers before God the Father.

(Galatians 5:16; John 8:26; Romans 8:26; 1 John 3:27)

Baptism

The ordinance of Baptism by water immersion should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures, by all who have genuinely repented in their hearts and have truly believed in Christ as Lord and Savior. In so doing, they are completely baptized in water as an outward symbol of cleansing, thus they declare to the world that have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

(Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Heb 10:22).

Fellowship & Communion

The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (II Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death (I Corinthians 11:26); a prophecy of His second coming (I Corinthians 11:26); and is observed often in remembrance of Him by all believers “until He comes.”

Strong Family Orientation

The Family is a holy institution designed by God where spiritual leadership is encouraged to promote health, stability and protection both for the family and for the Church as Christ is the head of both.

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the Church as they function according to the gifts that God has given them.

(Ephesians 4:11-13)
